Recently I noticed that my neck felt uncomfortable and the feeling was annoying me no matter what I did and only got better when I layed down on my bed. I realized this came from tilting my head down too much, especially when reading, writing, or on a PC. I have lowered the chair at my desk to get rid of the need to look down. The bad habit is tempting, but I have started to pay more attention to my posture. Also, I remember a time several months ago when my upper back was irritating me that was caused by holding my phone with my head and shoulder (thus bending my upper spine to one side) for a long time.
Doing a quick search on Wikipedia for "posture", I came across the concept of
neutral spine. This refers to the position that the human spine should ideally be in, that is, with specific curves:

So, pay attention to your posture! You might notice room for improvement.

I understand how this could be important for your health but I definitely understand what you mean when you say that your posture problems are a "bad habit." I just tend to slouch and sit in bizarre contorted positions. My friends and I measured me standing normally (what I thought was my "straight") and then shoved my back against the wall. With my back against the wall I was a full inch taller. I really need to work on my habits as well!
ugh but it sucks to have to talk on the phone while you're doing stuff so you have to hold it on your shoulder.
and you dont want your mom in on the convo so you cant put it on speaker
also you've droppsed your phone in the toilet so now the earphone thing doesnt work.
I definitely have posture issues too. When I was rehearsing for the spring play, the director even commented on it, so I'm trying to be more aware and fix it.
I know exactly the pain you are talking about! I feel it all the time in the left side of my neck. These are great tips to get rid of it. I slouch everywhere. I rarely sit up straight. Maybe this will help me get rid of the pain.
